GASonomics (Spring Break through Summer)
I am pretty sure that people can use common sense to figure out why there has been a sudden surge in gas prices. The energy emperors use times like Spring Break which leads up to the summer months to embezzle a big portion of consumers money. We are simply put in a situation that we can not win, unless we simply decide to stay in house and go nowhere at all. Entertainment normally overrides any thoughts that we have about saving money. Therefore, we suffer the consequences for simply trying to enjoy our lives.
The Energy Emperors laugh all the way to the bank and report higher than normal quarterly earnings. It is a good situation for some, but for the rest of us that are just normal citizens we suffer from not having money to do other things. Well, I guess there is no need to whine about it, just try to find a way to leviate it.
One week and a half ago local gas price was $2.02. At current date which is a whole week and a half later, we now stand at $2.35. That is a 16% increase in a very short manner of time. If we rise 16% every week, it is safe to say that a lot of us normal earning citizens will be broke.
